How Credits Work
One rule covers almost everything: 1 credit buys 1 minute of live AI interview time. A handful of features cost a flat rate, and most of the app costs nothing at all. Here is the exact breakdown, so you can plan your month before you spend a thing.
Every live voice feature — mock interviews and the Live Copilot on desktop, web, and mobile — bills at one credit per connected minute, rounded up.
Job Search is the one fixed-price feature. It costs the same whether it returns 5 listings or 200 — and nothing at all if the results are cached or empty.
Company Insights, Concept Explainers, the Preparation Hub, Learning Programs, and the Resume Builder cost no credits on any plan, including Free.
What Each Feature Costs

AI Mock Interview
Charged on connected voice time only, rounded up to the next whole minute, and settled once when the session ends. A single session is capped at 30 minutes, so one mock can never cost more than 30 credits. You need at least 1 credit to start.
Live Interview Copilot — Desktop
Yes — cost scales with session length. The clock runs only while the copilot is actively listening. Rounded up to the next whole minute, settled once when you stop. A desktop session under 30 seconds is not billed at all.
Live Interview Copilot — Web
Identical to the desktop app. One 45-minute interview costs 45 credits. Closing the tab still settles the session, so you are never charged twice for the same interview.
Mobile Copilot
Same meter as the desktop and web copilot. Handy when the interview is on a phone screen or a second device.
Job Search
A flat charge, not a variable one — it does not matter how many listings come back. Re-running a search you have already run is served from cache and costs nothing, and a search that returns zero matches is never charged.
Auto-Apply
Auto-Apply has its own dedicated monthly allowance that does not touch your credit balance, so it can never eat into your interview time. Only applications beyond that allowance draw credits.
Company Insights
No credit cost, fixed or variable. Briefs are cached per company and role for 21 days, so revisiting one is instant. Fresh lookups are limited to 12 per hour to keep the service fast for everyone.
Concept Explainers
The full catalogue and any explainer you generate yourself are free and unlimited. No credit cost per use.
Preparation Hub
Question banks, model answers, and practice drills carry no credit cost.
Learning Programs
Structured learning paths and lessons are included with every plan at no credit cost.
Resume Builder & downloads
The Resume Builder costs no credits — not to build, not to edit, and not to download. Downloads draw on a separate download allowance instead: 3 on Free and 10 on Starter, unlimited on Professional and Ultimate. Your credit balance is never touched.

When the Clock Runs
The details that decide what a session actually costs you.
Only connected time counts
The meter starts when a session connects and stops when you end it. Setting up, choosing a role, reading your transcript, and reviewing your feedback report are all free.
Partial minutes round up
12 minutes 10 seconds costs 13 credits. A session that connects but records no time costs nothing, and a desktop session under 30 seconds is not billed either. Past that, the minimum is 1 credit.
Charged once, at the end
Your balance is settled in a single deduction when the session finishes, not ticked down mid-interview. Closing the tab or the app still settles it, and never charges you twice.
Mock interviews stop at 30 minutes
A single mock session is capped at 30 minutes, so it can never cost more than 30 credits. Live Copilot has no cap, because a real interview runs as long as it runs.
How Auto-Apply Is Billed
Auto-Apply is the one feature that does not simply spend credits. It runs on its own monthly allowance, and only reaches for your credit balance once that allowance is used up.
A monthly allowance, free of credits
Every plan includes a set number of applications each month that cost no credits at all. This allowance is completely separate from your credit balance, so Auto-Apply can never eat into your interview time. It resets at the start of each month.
A daily pace limit
Applications are also capped per day, so a single run cannot burn a whole month's allowance in one sitting. The daily cap rises with your plan, from 3 a day on Free to 50 a day on Ultimate.
Beyond the allowance: 2 credits each
Once you have used your monthly allowance, further applications cost 2 credits each and come out of your normal credit balance. Nothing is charged until the allowance is genuinely exhausted, and a failed application is never billed.

Example: on the Starter plan you get 30 applications a month at no credit cost. The 31st application costs 2 credits — about the same as 2 minutes of interview time.
Two Kinds of Credits
Your balance can hold both. They behave differently, and the difference matters at renewal.
Subscription credits
Your plan's monthly allowance. On every billing date your balance resets to the full amount — it does not accumulate, so unused credits do not carry into the next month.
Bonus credits
One-time top-ups, and credits earned through referrals. They never expire and are not touched by your billing cycle — buy them now and use them three months from now.
Spending order: bonus credits are used first, then your monthly subscription credits.

How many credits does one AI Mock Interview session use?
One credit per connected minute, rounded up. A 20-minute mock costs 20 credits; a 12-minute-10-second mock costs 13. A single mock session is capped at 30 minutes, so the most one session can ever cost is 30 credits. On the Starter plan's 120 credits that is 6 full 20-minute mocks, or 4 at the 30-minute maximum.
How many credits does one Live Interview Copilot session use, and does cost scale with session length?
Yes, it scales with length — it is the same meter as the mock interview: 1 credit per minute, rounded up, on desktop, web, and mobile alike. A 45-minute interview costs 45 credits; a 60-minute interview costs 60. Unlike mock interviews there is no per-session cap, because a real interview runs as long as it runs. The clock only runs while the copilot is actively listening, so setup time and reading your notes afterwards are free.
Do Job Search, Company Insights, and Concept Explainers have a fixed credit cost, or does it vary?
Job Search is a fixed 5 credits per fresh search — flat, regardless of how many results come back. Repeating a cached search, or a search that returns no matches, costs nothing. Company Insights and Concept Explainers are free: no fixed cost and no variable cost. Company Insights is capped at 12 fresh lookups per hour for fairness, and Concept Explainers is unlimited.
When exactly does the clock start and stop?
For live sessions the meter runs from the moment the session connects until you stop it, and nothing else counts. Choosing a role, reviewing your transcript, reading your feedback report, and browsing the app are all free. Your balance updates once, at the end of the session, rather than ticking down mid-interview.
How does rounding work?
Every partial minute rounds up to the next whole credit. 12 minutes 10 seconds is 13 credits. A live session that connects but records no time at all is not charged. Any session with time on the clock costs a minimum of 1 credit.
Do unused credits roll over to next month?
Monthly subscription credits do not roll over — your balance resets to your plan's full allowance on each billing date. Bonus credits bought as a top-up are different: they never expire and stay in your account until you spend them.
If I have both subscription and bonus credits, which get used first?
Bonus credits are spent first, then your monthly subscription credits.
What happens if I run out of credits mid-session?
You are never charged more than the balance you actually hold. The desktop app watches your balance during a session and closes it cleanly when it reaches zero, so nothing is cut off without warning. To keep going, buy a bonus top-up — it lands in your account immediately and never expires.
Does Auto-Apply use my interview credits?

Does the Resume Builder cost credits?
No. Building, editing, tailoring, and downloading resumes are all free of credits. Downloads are counted against a separate download allowance — 3 on Free, 10 on Starter, unlimited on Professional and Ultimate — and never against your credit balance.
