Privacy Policy

When you complete an interview session with LastRound AI, we keep a record of the conversation in your account so you can revisit it later, learn from your answers, and practice for your next round. Your saved transcripts are scoped to your account — only you can see them. We do not share, sell, or publish your interview content to anyone.

We also retain basic session metadata — start time, duration, and credits used — so we can bill you correctly and so you can see your own usage history.

Prefer to keep your history off our servers? Open the desktop app, go to Settings → Privacy & Local Data, and choose "Keep on this device only" under Interview history. From that point on, your questions and answers are written to a folder on your own computer and are never uploaded to LastRound AI. The session-duration and credits-used metadata still reach us (we need these to bill correctly), but nothing about what was actually said in your interviews is stored by us. You can review those on-device sessions in the desktop app, or open them from your browser on the Interview History page using "Load from this device", which reads the files directly from your computer without uploading them.

Session recording. The desktop app can record your screen together with the call audio and your own microphone. This is off by default and only runs if you switch it on. Recordings are saved only to your own computer and are never uploaded to LastRound AI; we receive no copy and cannot access them. We do record whether you have the feature enabled, so that we can support you and manage the feature, but never the recordings themselves. You can delete them at any time from the desktop app. You are responsible for making sure everyone on the call is aware of the recording and that recording is lawful where you are, as consent requirements vary by jurisdiction.

What is processed while a session is running. To provide answers in real time, the audio your computer captures during an interview is transcribed, and the resulting question — together with context such as your resume, and any screenshot you capture with the screen-capture feature — is sent to an AI model as the session happens. This passes through LastRound AI's own services and our third-party sub-processors: speech-to-text providers (AssemblyAI and Deepgram) and AI model providers (including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and models accessed via OpenRouter), who process the data on our behalf in order to return a result. This real-time processing is what makes live assistance possible, and it happens regardless of which storage option you choose.

Your storage choice controls what is retained afterwards. With "Keep on this device only", no transcript of the session is stored in your LastRound AI account. We do retain information about the session itself — start time, duration, credits used, interview mode and similar usage analytics — which we need for billing, support and improving the product.

Storage and security: transcripts saved to your account are stored in our Supabase Postgres database with row-level security policies enforcing per-user isolation — another logged-in user cannot read your data, and our internal admin tools do not surface transcript content to staff. Data saved on your own device is protected by your computer's own security; you can remove all of it at once using Clear local data in the desktop app's settings.
