LockedIn AI vs LastRound AI: 2026 Comparison

Our verdict
Verified pricing

LastRound AI: $19/mo Starter, flat, confirmed on lastroundai.com/pricing. LockedIn AI: still no USD shown to us directly. A live 2026-07-12 visit priced Unlimited at Rs 3,549.33 to Rs 4,880/mo, roughly $43 to $59/mo at today's conversion; third-party trackers separately report $29.99 to $70/mo. None of it is a confirmed US price.

Free tier design

LockedIn AI: 10 credits at signup plus a recurring daily allowance, per their support docs, and credits that reportedly never expire. LastRound AI: 15 credits monthly, reset each cycle.

Bottom line

LockedIn AI wins on model variety, a human-assist feature called Duo, and a daily free tier. LastRound AI wins on verified flat pricing, an included Auto-Apply system with a review queue, and full-spectrum coverage.

LockedIn AI's own pricing page would not give us a clean USD number on July 8, 2026, or when we checked again on July 12. It listed Unlimited, Credits, and Lifetime plans, split into General and Professional tiers that priced identically, but the currency and discounts shifted by session, the same geo-gamified pattern an earlier review ran into back in June. The July 12 visit did land us a real number, just not in dollars: Unlimited showed Rs 4,880.00/mo billed monthly or Rs 3,549.33/mo billed every 3 months, both in Indian rupees. LastRound AI's pricing page did the opposite: one plan, one price, $19 a month, no popup asking where the request came from.

That gap is real, and it isn't the whole comparison. LockedIn AI has been around since 2024, per its own materials, and ships two things LastRound AI doesn't: Duo, a live human helper alongside the AI, and a free tier that tops up daily instead of resetting monthly. Both are genuine advantages, and we cover them below before getting to where LastRound AI pulls ahead.

What LockedIn AI is

LockedIn AI markets itself as a real-time copilot for technical interviews, coding rounds, and online assessments, with a coding-specific assistant, a desktop app, and support for standard meetings. The homepage hero leads with "1M+ Users," "116ms Avg Speed," and a "4.8" rating next to "2,739 reviews." If 116ms holds up under real conditions, that beats LastRound AI's own sub-200ms target. Neither figure is independently benchmarked as far as we could find, so treat both as vendor-stated.

The user-count claims don't quite line up, either. The hero says 1M+ users. Elsewhere on the same site, the pricing page's trust statement cites "58,000+ professionals," a figure that also shows up in earlier third-party coverage. A founder podcast appearance we came across put the number closer to 100,000 candidates, though we don't have a stable link for that one, so treat it as a data point, not a source. Three numbers, one user base.

Free tier: minutes that renew daily versus credits that reset monthly

This is the strongest genuine case for LockedIn AI. New accounts get 10 credits, which at the platform's stated burn rate of 0.5 credits per minute works out to roughly 20 minutes of copilot time. Their support documentation also describes a recurring daily allowance on top of that, plus a claim that credits never expire once you have them. We're treating that as LockedIn AI's own claim, not something we confirmed by draining an account over months.

LastRound AI's free plan gives 15 credits a month, reset on the monthly cycle rather than accumulating daily. Only credits purchased separately carry over. If you want to test a live copilot heavily across many days before paying, a daily-replenishing structure is, honestly, a better design than a once-a-month reset. More tools in this category could stand to copy it.

Duo and the multi-model roster

Duo is LockedIn AI's live human-assist feature. The homepage copy reads "Never interview alone... invite a friend to help you crush your interview, live," meaning a second person watching the call and feeding guidance alongside the AI, not two AI models running in parallel as the name might suggest. It has no direct equivalent in LastRound AI's lineup. Paired with model choice across OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, and DeepSeek, LockedIn AI covers more configuration ground than a single-engine tool, and enough independent commentary exists online, including our earlier LockedIn AI review, that finding an honest read isn't hard.

Pricing: one verified number against a handful of third-party guesses

LastRound AI's pricing page lists four tiers, no login wall: Free at $0 (15 credits), Starter at $19/mo (90 credits), Pro at $49/mo (270 credits), Ultimate at $99/mo (600 credits). LockedIn AI's page rendered plan names with no stable dollar amount attached, matching the geo-localized, discount-stacked behavior we noted in our earlier review. On July 12, 2026 we opened the page ourselves and it showed us Unlimited at Rs 4,880.00/mo monthly or Rs 3,549.33/mo billed every 3 months, both in Indian rupees, no dollar sign anywhere on the page. Converting at roughly 83 INR to the dollar puts that near $59/mo or $43/mo, our own estimate, not a figure LockedIn AI states. Separately, jobright.ai's pricing breakdown reports Unlimited around $29.99/mo billed quarterly, credit plans between $35 and $70/mo, and roughly 200 credits a month on Pro. The two don't match, and we're not smoothing that over. Pricing that shifts by region and by visit tends to go stale fast.

Auto-Apply and the review queue LockedIn AI doesn't have

Nothing in LockedIn AI's lineup, not the copilot, the coding assistant, or Duo, touches what happens after an interview loop ends and it's time to find the next one. LastRound AI includes Auto-Apply on every plan: 10 applies a month on Free, 50 on Starter, 150 on Pro, 400 on Ultimate. It ranks openings by actual resume fit, writes a tailored resume and cover letter per job without inventing experience, and holds everything in a review queue until approved, unless you enable optional auto-submit. Daily caps and pacing stop it from firing off hundreds of applications in an hour. LockedIn AI doesn't have a comparable product yet.

The rating gap

LockedIn AI's homepage shows a "4.8" rating next to "2,739 reviews" in the hero, and a separate "4.1 Rated on Trustpilot" badge further down. An independent check of the actual Trustpilot listing, published by interviewsidekick.com in March 2026, put the real number at 3.7 out of 5 across 76 reviews. Three figures, one trust signal. Check the primary source before trusting any on-site badge.

Pick LockedIn AI if…

  • You want to pick your own AI model. OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, and DeepSeek in one place is a real differentiator most single-engine tools don't offer.
  • You want a second set of eyes on the call. Duo's live human-assist layer has no equivalent in LastRound AI.
  • You want to test heavily before paying. Daily-topping credits plus a signup bonus add up to more free evaluation time than a once-a-month reset.

Pick LastRound AI if…

  • You want a price you can see before signing up. $19/mo Starter, posted plainly, no geo pricing or discount countdowns.
  • You need help beyond the interview itself. Auto-Apply, included from the free plan up, ranks and applies to jobs with a review queue you control.
  • You're preparing for more than coding rounds. Behavioral and system design coverage sit in the same product, backed by mock interviews you can run before the real one.
  • You want stealth without hunting for the right tier. Included at the $19/mo entry price.
  • You want your monthly allowance to look the same every month. No daily math, no geo variance.

Frequently asked questions

How does LockedIn AI's pricing compare to LastRound AI's?

LastRound AI's pricing is flat and verified: $19/mo Starter, $49/mo Pro, $99/mo Ultimate. LockedIn AI's pricing page shows geo-localized currency and stacked discounts instead of a stable USD figure. A live visit on July 12, 2026 priced its Unlimited plan at Rs 3,549.33 to Rs 4,880/mo, roughly $43 to $59/mo at today's conversion, our estimate, while third-party trackers separately report $29.99 to $70/mo. None of it is a confirmed US price.

Is LockedIn AI's free tier better than LastRound AI's?

By volume, likely yes. LockedIn AI gives 10 signup credits plus a recurring daily allowance, per their support docs, versus LastRound AI's 15 credits that reset once a month. If maximum free testing time matters most, LockedIn AI's structure adds up faster.

What is LockedIn Duo?

Duo is a live human-assist feature that lets you invite another person to watch your interview call and send guidance alongside the AI in real time. It is not two AI models running at once, despite the name. LastRound AI has no equivalent feature.

Does LockedIn AI offer Auto-Apply or job application automation?

No. LockedIn AI's lineup covers the live copilot, a coding assistant, Duo, and OA support, but nothing that finds, ranks, or applies to jobs. LastRound AI includes Auto-Apply on every plan, with a review queue that holds applications until approved.

Is LockedIn AI's 4.8 rating accurate?

It's one of three different numbers on LockedIn AI's own site. The hero shows 4.8 from 2,739 reviews, a badge elsewhere claims 4.1 on Trustpilot, and an independent March 2026 check by interviewsidekick.com found the real Trustpilot score to be 3.7 from 76 reviews.

Which tool is better for coding-only interview prep?

For coding and OA prep specifically, LockedIn AI's model variety and dedicated coding assistant are a legitimate strength. LastRound AI covers coding too, through its interview copilot, but the advantage grows once behavioral or system design rounds enter the picture.

The bottom line

LockedIn AI earns its wins here. Model choice across four providers, a human-assist feature nothing else in this comparison has, and a free tier that replenishes daily are all real, none of them exaggerated. Where it falls apart is anywhere you'd want a number you can trust without a third party's help, the pricing page, and apparently the rating badge too. LastRound AI's price is $19/mo whether you check it today or next month, and it ships Auto-Apply with a review queue LockedIn AI's roadmap doesn't include. Which one wins depends mostly on whether pricing transparency and application help matter more to you than model choice and a second set of eyes on the call.
