HuddleMate vs Parakeet AI
HuddleMate. You buy hours of live help at $9.99 per hour, there is no subscription, and purchased minutes never expire.
Parakeet AI's Unlimited plan: unlimited call sessions and mock interviews for a flat monthly, weekly or yearly price.
Both say they stay hidden during screen share. Neither can promise that for every proctoring setup, and your interview's rules still apply.
HuddleMate and Parakeet AI both listen to a live call and suggest answers in real time, so on a feature list they look alike. The real difference is how you pay. HuddleMate sells hours of assistance. Parakeet AI sells a subscription or credits. Which one costs less depends almost entirely on how many interviews you have coming up.

What each one costs in practice
HuddleMate is simple arithmetic: every hour of live help costs $9.99. Three one-hour interviews cost about $30, and anything you don't use stays on your account. Its Enterprise plan is custom priced.
Parakeet AI shows prices in your local currency. Viewed from India on September 24, 2026, the Unlimited plan was ₹9,470 a month, ₹4,980 a week or ₹37,900 a year. Its own price data lists $99.90 a month, $399.90 a year and a $599.90 one-time lifetime plan in US dollars (checked September 25, 2026). On the credits plan, a 30-minute call or mock interview uses half a credit, and a single credit cost ₹2,360. A Prepare Only plan (₹2,910 a month) covers the Question Bank, resume and headshots but no live calls.
| Your situation | Usually cheaper | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 5 interviews, spread out | HuddleMate | You pay only for hours used, and they don't expire between interviews. |
| A single intense week | Parakeet AI weekly | A flat weekly price covers unlimited calls and mocks. |
| 10 or more hours in a month | Parakeet AI Unlimited | At $9.99 an hour, HuddleMate reaches Parakeet's monthly price at about 10 hours. |
Will the interviewer see it?
Both companies say their overlay stays off your shared screen. HuddleMate goes furthest, calling it "zero detection risk." Treat claims like that carefully. Hiding a window from screen share is not the same as being invisible to every proctoring tool, and some interview platforms monitor more than the shared window. Many employers also have rules about AI help during interviews. We cover what is actually visible on each in Is HuddleMate detectable? and Is Parakeet AI detectable?.
Refunds and cancelling
Parakeet AI's pricing page says there is no lock-in and you can cancel anytime. HuddleMate has no subscription to cancel, since you buy minutes. HuddleMate's Terms of Use (last updated July 11, 2026) don't cover refunds, so ask its support before buying a large block of time. Parakeet's terms (last updated March 15, 2026) give a 7-day refund window for accidental or unused purchases, one refund per person; once a purchase has been used it no longer qualifies.
Which should you pick?
- Pick HuddleMate if you have a handful of interviews over the next few months and want to pay only for the hours you use.
- Pick Parakeet AI if you have many calls packed into a short period, need its listed coding platforms such as CoderPad and HackerRank, or want mocks, a question bank and resume tools in one plan.
A third option, since this is our site: LastRound AI gives 15 free credits every month (1 credit is 1 minute of live help), with paid plans from $29 a month or $19 a month on the 3-month plan. See our HuddleMate review and Parakeet AI pricing for more detail.
