How to Cancel Final Round AI

Cancelling Final Round AI takes about a minute. Getting money back is the harder part, because the refund rules changed on July 16, 2026 and the details sit across three different pages on Final Round's site: the Terms of Use, the Customer Refund and Satisfaction Policy, and the FAQ.

We read all three on September 24, 2026 and put the rules in one place. Where Final Round's own pages disagree with each other, we say so instead of guessing.

How to cancel your Final Round AI subscription

Final Round's FAQ (last reviewed September 8, 2026) gives this path:

1. Open the Final Round AI desktop app and go to Settings.
2. Open Account & Billing and select Manage subscription. This opens subscription management in your browser.
3. In that secure portal, choose to cancel and confirm it. The FAQ is explicit that opening the portal alone does not cancel anything.
4. Keep the confirmation screen or email. If you later ask for a refund or dispute a renewal, it is your proof of the date you cancelled.

Timing matters more than the clicks. Section 7 of the Terms says subscriptions "renew automatically until terminated" and that you "must cancel your subscription before it renews" to avoid the next charge. Cancel a day or two before your renewal date, not on the day.

Can you get a refund?

Sometimes. Final Round's Terms say subscription fees, including renewals, are non-refundable except under its Customer Refund and Satisfaction Policy. That policy offers a 3-day (72-hour) money-back guarantee on initial and renewal subscription charges, with these conditions:

The policy also lists situations where refunds are not issued: requests outside the time window, monthly plan purchases (except verified technical failure cases), accounts with substantial or abusive usage, failing to get the job or pass the interview, duplicate accounts or repeat refund behavior, and violations of the Terms or Fair Use Policy.

A refund request you can copy

The policy asks for four things: your account email, the purchase date, the plan and the reason. Keep it short and factual:

Send it within 72 hours of the charge, not 72 hours from when you noticed it. If the charge was a renewal you forgot about, check the timestamp on your card statement first.

What happens after you cancel

Final Round's pages don't state whether Pro features stay active until the end of the period you already paid for, so check the confirmation screen in the billing portal. Two things are documented:

• The Free plan stays. Final Round has a $0 plan covering goals, resume materials, job description parsing and the desktop app. Live Interview Copilot sessions need an active Pro subscription, and the pricing page says there is no free trial for them.
• There is no balance to lose. The FAQ says the current desktop subscription does not use a session quota or minute balance, so there are no unused minutes to carry over or forfeit.

If you're cancelling because of the price

Final Round's Pro plan starts at $25 a month when billed yearly. Month to month costs a lot more, which is the most common reason people cancel.
