If someone in the group hasn’t spoken much, bringing them in is one of the highest-impact moves you can make. “Sarah, you mentioned earlier that you worked in healthcare — what do you think about this from that angle?” It shows emotional intelligence, and interviewers eat it up. After the interview: send a follow-up email that references specific moments from the group discussion. “I particularly enjoyed exploring the customer retention challenge the group discussed, and I’ve been thinking more about the approach Lisa suggested.” This shows you were present and engaged, not just waiting for your turn to talk.<\/p>\n

The best way to prepare for group interviews is to practice in group settings.
