Frameworks are fine. Rigid adherence to frameworks kills you. The structure below is more of a checklist than a script – something to verify you haven’t skipped a step, not something to read aloud.<\/p>\n
Ask two or three questions before you start. Not ten. “When you say ‘improve retention,’ are we talking 7-day, 30-day, or 90-day?” Interviewers can tell whether you’re asking because you understand the problem or because you’re stalling. Spend 60 seconds drawing the landscape. A 15% drop in mobile engagement could be a product issue, a technical regression, a competitive shift, or a measurement artifact.
